The "NOW" Season

One of my favorite passages of scripture is Deuteronomy 2:3, when the Hebrews are given the directive to "Go North." It would seem as though they had been circling a particular mountain (circumstance, issue, problem) long enough and it took God re-setting their internal compass for changes to occur-for a new direction to be conceptualized, assimilated, and pursued.

Admittedly, in this day and age we too, face times when we are just not capable of making necessary changes on our own, but then, there are times when the depth and/or torment of our internal need somehow hears the resounding of an external call and anything standing between the two is leveled.

At the precise time when "the need" responds to "the call" that is considered a "NOW" (or a Kairos) moment-meaning opportune time for change. These moments are ever-present, but our level of awareness deviates from the voice/sound of God.

So, in some instances a season of preparation makes way for the "now moment" which is capable of reaching beyond our normal hearing capacity and enters into the spiritual chambers of our ear-gates, resurrecting faith and becoming Clarion in nature. Such a capacity has the power to bring about a single purpose in mind, body and soul, that rebukes the Matthew 6:23 darkness filling our sights with light again as we manifest order, as opposed to circumstance.

In a word, deserts are now capable of bringing forth Isaiah 43 streams because "the now/kairos" is all about the opportunity of shifting into what was, is and shall always be if we but lift, or should I say "turn" our eyes to a spiritual place.

In this state-this place, even before we move, the mere contemplation of the turn loosens the barnacles of past trappings and momentary delights from our craft. We then, fearlessly shift into the walk, the ways and the joint fittings of what will keep us ever present in the ever presence of God whose continual "now" devours all of yesterdays, illnesses, poverty, pointlessness, and aimless distractions. Because in "the now (the focus, the undeviating gaze) is the purpose, satisfaction and fulfillment that has eluded us a times, times a time ago...

Within the "now" is evolution evolving around an entity that never changes because it is the beginning, middle, and the end that awaits our awareness.

Truth is, it has always been "NOW". Turn and go North.
