A Lesson In Letting Go (excerpt from Revelations of a Promise)
Many of us think that Forgiveness is a bi-product of some
ancient belief system- A sub-system that should only be exe- cuted when we are emotionally satiated by outcomes that fa- vor our position.
Overwhelmingly, our actions have echoed that we only
resort to the Forgiveness Principle when we feel the other
party has suffered enough, or paid some invisible debt,
punctuated by our exorbitant stipulations of countless
'buts, if,s and maybe-s! When, in fact Forgiveness is a dish
best served hot, on time and in the presence of our enemy.
The manifestation of true Forgiveness will demand the
accruals of every GOD-WORD that is built up and amassed
in our Spirit-Man concerning love. This WORD (in us) must rise above the
stalemated offense that is written in our wounded flesh, mind, and heart that only appears to be indelible.
In these instances, Forgiveness is of a non-negotiable truth that a
spiritual flexing is necessary to penetrate our fractured belief system, our pain and our shame.
...Not of the Habakkuk 1:11 flexing, but instead, the Philippians 4:13 flex that is capable of
restoring order to the chaotic distress of hurt feelings and
foul mouthed intentions.
It is the Luke 5:31, EMT on the scene, that rushes us to
where we need to be in relationship with GOD and man,
propelling us into Kingdom Purpose and placing us back
on the sure footed path.
I can honestly testify that anger and rage have the po- tential to devour our time, constructive energy and focus.
And it would seem that humbling our self to the will of
GOD, confessing and apologizing would cause us to shatter
in a million pieces... When in truth, once we do our part,
GOD will do HIS and the weight in our heart and on our
shoulders will dissolve. The flood-gates of GODS blessings
is now free to swing open and we will gain revelation anew
of Matthew 5:43- 45, which states...
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your
neighbor and hate your enemy’. But I tell you:
Love your enemies and pray for those who perse- cute you, that you may be sons of your Father in
heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and
the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the
unrighteous. (NIV)
